In Bookish News: July 2018

Hi everyone!

Just popping in for a quick post about the book releases and other awesomely bookish things going on this month. 🙂

JULY RELEASES

Here are some books which look like they’ll be awesome. 😀 (And I can’t get over how pretty the covers are together. AWK. So much shiny!)

• The Green Princess series, book 1: Flower – H. L. Burke — (Okay, this was actually June 30th, but close enough, and I didn’t have it in last month’s post.) Because an adorable YA fantasy romance with a heroine who has plant powers sounds super fun. I’m curious to try this one!
• Healers and Warriors – Daley Downing — (Similar story; just came out! EEE!) I enjoyed the first two books immensely, so I’m excited to try the third book in this series involving modern times and fae and cats and all that fun stuff. 😉
• The Janus Elixir – Kyle Robert Shultz (July 1) — I actually read this already (as an editor) and it’s so good! I’m not even biased, I promise. I’m just excited to have a whole novella told by Malcolm Blackfire, dragon and archaeologist. 😀 It’s super funny, features Malcolm and his… er… assistant Melody Nightingale, and is set in an alternate 1816 London, with Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, some characters from mythology, and some other familiar names… You’ll just have to check it out, because it’s a blast. XD And it’s free if you sign up for the author’s newsletter. 😉
• Renegade Skyfarer – R. J. Metcalf (July 1) — I haven’t read this but I have it on good authority that it’s amazing, and it certainly SOUNDS like it is, because steampunkery and awesomeness. I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy!
• Launch – Jason C. Joyner (July 3) — I don’t know a lot about this one but it’s a superhero story I’ve seen some friends sharing and I think it’s a YA Christian fantasy superhero book, which sounds intriguing!
• Fawkes – Nadine Brandes (July 10) — Alternate historical fantasy version of the Fifth of November Guy Fawkes incident? I’m sold!
• Escape and Endurance – Sarah Holman (July 15) — Another addition to the delightful Kingdom Adventure series, Tales of Taelis! These books make my heart happy and I can’t wait to read this one. ^_^ Also THAT COVER. ❤ It’s up for pre-order. (It’s book 5 in the series, but they always stand alone!)
• The Hound of Duville – Kyle Robert Shultz — (Not pictured because it’s not on Goodreads yet and I’m lazy.) The Brothers Beasley (Nick and Crispin) are back (I MISSED THEMMM) and hilarious as ever, in an alternate 1920s London with some magical mishaps as they solve a case involving… well… you’ll just have to read it. But there’s lots of dogs. And hilarity! XD And FEELS. O_O And it’s so good! 😀 (I may have edited this one too. *cough*)

There’s a new Kate’s Case Files book from Sarah Holman, coming this September, and I’m really excited! Look at that adorable cover. 😀 It’s up for pre-order if you like Christian FBI mysteries! ^_^

And, of course, I revealed the cover of Sarah Addison-Fox’s upcoming fourth novel, Discerned, on my blog last week, but I have to share it here again because it’s so pretty. 😉

OTHER BOOKISH HAPPENINGS

The Realm Makers writer conference is happening, so I might be less bloggy than usual, getting ready for and then attending that. I’m really excited! (And if you’re going, give me a shout so we can meet! :D)

I know this is very localized, so I apologize if it doesn’t apply to you, but thought I’d share anyway. If you are, or know anybody, in the St. Louis, MO area, there’s going to be a Book Festival as part of the Realm Makers conference, and on Saturday, July 21, the book festival part is open to the public! So you can check that out here. 🙂

The Fellowship of Fantasy’s neat Summer Reading Quest is still going, and it’s not too late to join! Readers of all ages can join in and read books and earn rewards and it’s basically awesome. ^_^ (Not that I’ve been keeping up with it because so much busy right now. *cough*) (And, yes, here’s the link for older readers. ;))

EDITED TO ADD: The Electrical Menagerie, which I loved, is the book of the month for the Fellowship of Fantasy bookclub, so there’s no better time to join in on this fun group, if you do the Facebook thing, than now! 😀 Because you need Carthage and Huxley in your life. You just do.

Hey! I’m back! ^_^

It’s time for a roundup of some bookish news and fun stuff for this month. 🙂

JUNE BOOK RELEASES

Like I did last month, I thought I’d share a list of books releasing this month, because ALL THE BOOKS are coming out right now! (Like… literally all of them. O_O)

• Kate’s Dilemma – Sarah Holman — (June 1) I love the Kate’s Case Files series, so I was excited for this third book! 🙂 I loved it. ^_^ (Read my review.)
• The Stealthmaster’s Shadow – Hope Ann — (June 1) An epic, snarky hero, and a Twelve Dancing Princesses retelling… 😀 Also loved! (Read my review.)
• Song of Leira – Gillian Bronte Adams — (June 5) It’s the final book in the trilogy and I’m. so. excited. O_O I’ll be sharing more about it on Tuesday, and you can watch for my review coming soon! ^_^
• A Thousand Perfect Notes – C. G. Drews — (June 7) The book itself doesn’t sound like it’s quiiite my cup of tea, but I’m excited for Cait who’s getting published! 🙂
• The Electrical Menagerie – Mollie E. Reeder — (June 9) AAHH. I just read this one and it was SO good. *collapses* Steampunk and a buddy story and just… it was AMAZING and so much fun! I recommend it highly and hopefully will share a review soonish. BUT JUST READ IT ALREADY. (Or… y’know… when it comes out, since I read an advance reader copy I won. *cough*)
• Lightporter – C. B. Cook — (June 16) Gaah, I’ve been excited for this since Twinepathy! Superheroes and awesomeness. And it’s almost here!
• King’s War – Jill Williamson — (June 19) The final Kinsman Chronicles book and I’M NOT READY — aaahh! It’s so thick and gorgeous though and I’m looking forward to reading it!
• The Orphan’s Wish – Melanie Dickerson — (June 26) I’m curious what an Aladdin story in the continuing Hagenheim series is going to be like! 🙂

OTHER BOOKWYRMERY

I’ll be part of the blog tours for Song of Leira and Lightporter, so watch for those. I can’t wait!

And hopefully I’ll have a few other reviews to share, as well.

Another book that came out recently (but which wasn’t listed in the May Bookish News post, so I’m posting it here so it doesn’t slip through the cracks) is Horseman by Kyle Robert Shultz! You can read my review of sorts here, but basically it’s a hilarious wild-west magical kind of adventure and is so much fun. I also may have been an editor for it, so… you know. There’s that. 😉

The third book in the series that began with Masters and Beginners has a cover! I love it and I’m excited. 😀

Hannah Williams just revealed her debut novella releasing in August and I’M SO EXCITED AAH.

June 22: Jill Williamson and Gillian Bronte Adams are having a joint FB party to celebrate the release of Song of Leira and King’s War. I’m so excited!

June 15: Speaking of parties on Facebook, if you’re into those, here’s another one. (Because H. L. Burke and Janeen Ippolito are fun.)

And another VERY awesome thing is the Summer Reading Quest put on by the Fellowship of Fantasy! If you know (or are…) a kid who loves reading fantasy, there’s an epic summer reading challenge with prizes and stuff, for readers under 18 I think. Spread the word! I know I’d have LOVED doing something like this a few years ago. ^_^

Oh, and there’s a less-in-depth, but-still-awesome, side version of that for those of us who are technically “adults” even if we’re young at heart! 😉 So check that out.

The Summer Reading Quest started just a couple of days ago at the start of June, and it’s going to run through August, so there’s time to get involved and read all kinds of wonderful fantasy.

Nightstand Books June {2017}

WHAT HAPPENED TO JUNE? HALP!

Ahem.

June is already zipping by and it’s long time for a look at my nightstand and what I’m reading!

Aaand as per usual, I have the perfect excuse for that, thanks to this fun meme created by DJ and Jenelle, where, as Jenelle so aptly put it in her post this month: “we post on the first Wednesday of each month a picture of our nightstand and the stack of books thereupon, and then we gush about how excited we are to read those books.” 😀

So I am here to do just that! (A little late, but still. ;)) Feel free to join in the fun anytime, if you like. 🙂

On My Nightstand for June

Ebooks (On Virtual Nightstand)

“Good gracious, Deborah, do you like not have a life or something? What are you THINKING, imagining you can read all these things in a month?” I know you’re saying it. XD

I know that looks… er… ambitious. *cough* Especially when there’s a couple others I want to read that aren’t on Goodreads and therefore not included in the pictures.

BUT DON’T WORRY. GOOD NEWS: I’ve already read half of these. And of the ones still to read, Blood Ties and The Skin Map are re-reads I’m working on, and The Tempest is a (short) audio play and Fallen Star is a short story.

So you see, I’m not QUITE as insane as it looks like. 😉 (Just… mostly. Ahem.)

I am dividing things into categories this time: the ones I’ve already read in June (since we’re so far in… *cough*) and ones I’m currently in, and the ones I hope to read next.

ALREADY READ

• Where the Woods Grow Wild by Nate Philbrick — OH MY GOODNESS. THIS BOOK. XD It was a fabulous fantasy read, with a classic Narnia/Prydain-esque feel, yet also felt entirely new and I could NOT stop reading it; plus it was really funny, and I LOVE funny books! Plus the characterrrrs, and the originality and just ALL THE AWESOME. I really, really enjoyed it. ❤ Look for a review of this one hopefully in the next couple of days! ^_^
• Dogsbody by Diana Wynne Jones — WHAT DID I JUST READ. *collapses* I don’t have a dog, but I’m convinced I now know 100% what they’re all like after reading about this. 😛 Another sci-fi/fantasy/contemporary/myth mashup as only DWJ can write, this had a slightly bittersweet ending and was definitely one of her early works (before she learned how to make EVERYTHING hilarious, and write happy endings) but I absolutely loved it all the same. 😀 (It wasn’t actually originally on my June list, but I just read it one evening when I needed a DWJ to cheer me up.)
• Mythic Orbits 2016 — This was a collection of short stories by various authors, and most were in genres I… don’t really care for. So it was overall a mixed bag, but I did enjoy a few. 🙂 Hopefully I’ll review it at some point…
• The Noble Servant by Melanie Dickerson — Another enjoyable medieval fairytale retelling by Dickerson, I had quite a good time reading this one. 🙂 I think I liked it more than the last few of hers I’d read and it was just fun. ^_^ Review to come!
• Brothers and Betrayal by Sarah Holman — I quite enjoyed this fun Christian medieval adventure story with a Robin Hood spin! 😀 Read my full review HERE.
• Spellsmith and Carver: Magicians’ Rivalry by H.L. Burke — This booook! It’s a “buddy story” and has magic and a scary Fae world and it’s got great dialog of the two not-getting-along heroes and I LOVE IT. 😀 *must review soon*
• Bellevere House by Sarah Scheele — This is the next Vintage Jane Austen book, a retelling of Mansfield Park; I just read it, loved it, and am super excited! 🙂 It’s now available for pre-order on Amazon HERE and on Goodreads HERE, releasing June 17. 😀 Hopefully reviewing it this week. ^_^

CURRENTLY READING

(Halayda pictured below instead of here, because I do not have a gorgeous paperback of it. *weepings of sadnesses*

• Blood Ties by Hazel B. West (re-read) — There’s an epic readalong of this going on over on Goodreads HERE, and I’m super excited to be taking part! I read this last year but I’ve been wanting to re-read it ever since, so this is perfect. 😀 Modern Ireland with an alternate history and Faeries and a medieval twist and humor and banter and brotherly friendships is SO AWESOME. ❤
• The Tempest by Bob Shakespeare — Haven’t actually continued this since I mentioned it last time… I always forget about audio books. Oops? It’s not very long though, so I just have to get around to finishing listening…
• The Skin Map by Stephen R. Lawhead (re-read) — I know I just finished the series, but I can’t help myself! I just started re-reading this, aloud, and it’s SO fun! (Especially doing the voices, and catching all the little hints that I now understand because I’ve read the whole series.) We’re going to re-read the entire series together and I can’t wait. 😀 Definitely a new favorite! (Yes, I know I still haven’t reviewed The Fatal Tree… I’m doing that soon. It’s very hard to put my thoughts into words because I LOVED this series and it’s one of those amazing life-changing kinds of things and I know no review of mine will do it justice. Not to mention the spoilers… That said, there will be a review once I can get my thoughts in order; hoping to get my review for that one up in the next week or two!)
• Halayda by Sarah Delena White — Yes, I’m still in this one, which was the May bookclub book I was reading. *cough* Enjoying it but it’s quite long and I’ve been busy reading review books instead. >.> Aaand of course, once the actual month of a bookclub is over, there’s slightly less incentive to ACTUALLY FINISH. (Or is that just me?) Soon, though!

READING SOON

• Courage and Corruption by Sarah Holman — Still working through the Tales of Taelis series, and this is the next one. I’m really excited to read it. 😀 Expect a review for it (hopefully) later this week. 🙂
• Dreams and Devotion by Sarah Holman — No cover yet, as it’s not quite ready to release. Another Tales of Taelis, this is the next one coming out and I’m reading a pre-release version for review since I will be part of the blog tour soon-ish! Can’t wait! 🙂
• Ewan Pendle and the White Wraith by Shaun Hume — A review book from an Australian author living in England, this looks like an intriguing fantasy tale about a boy in England who can see otherworldly creatures. It looks fun and I’m quite curious about it! 🙂
• Fallen Star by Anne Elisabeth Stengl (short story) — I think/hear-tell (hope?) this is going to be the read for this month in the ongoing Imps of Goldstone Wood Goodreads group readalong, and I’m SO excited!!! I’m guessing it will be in the last week or two of this month. Join the fun HERE if you’d like to read (or re-read!) it with us and discuss it! 😀

There you have my June Nightstand! As always, some of these may migrate to July, but since June and July are all sort of like one really long, hot month that starts with Ju, it’s no great tragedy, yes? XD

SOMEDAY I’m going to catch up on all the books coming out and will just read random things that I feel like, but it is not this day. XD They’re all awesome anyway, so that is also no great tragedy. 😉 So excited for these!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I must dash off to deal with all those reviews I semi-promised you, and/or to devour more lovely books, in between Life’s ever-constant demands. 😉

Nightstand Books May {2017}

Time for Nightstand Books! (I mean, it has been for awhile, but hey. Leave me with my delusions of it still being the first couple of days of May. It will make me feel better. *cough*)

Nightstand Books is a meme created by Jenelle Schmidt and DJ Edwardson, a monthly look at what we’re reading/have on our “nightstands”.

Here’s what I’m reading/would like to read this May. 🙂 (Or, y’know… into June… or however long it takes me… *cough*)

The Stack

• Masters and Beginners by Daley Downing — I read this one, LOVED it (Faeries and THINGS!), and will have a review up for it soon! 😀 (Thanks to the author for my shiny review copy!)
• Puss in Boots by Diana Wynne Jones — This is a tiny retelling DWJ did and I just read it. So much fun! I like how she made everything make sense, while also making it rather humorous as is traditional with DWJ books. 😉
• Adventures and Adversities by Sarah Holman — I’m starting to work through the Tales of Taelis series (long overdue!). Interesting so far. 🙂
• Arbiter by Jamie Foley — Sentinel was awesome, hence I’m super excited to read this! *flailing* (Thanks to the author for my review copy! *pets it*)
• The Fatal Tree by Stephen R. Lawhead — Currently reading this, and it’s VERY intriguing so far. O_O I can’t wait to find out what happens! Eep. 😀
• Moonblood by Anne Elisabeth Stengl — The Imps of Goldstone Wood fan club on Goodreads is having an epic series read-through this year, with a different book every month, give or take. You can hop aboard on any of them you like, as re-reads or new reads. I’m jumping in this month because Moonblood is up for May, which is next in the series for me. Halfway through and enjoying it SO MUCH so far! O_O Didn’t realize I missed the Goldstone Wood world and characters so much until I started reading it again.
• The Noble Servant by Melanie Dickerson — I’m slightly addicted to Melanie Dickerson’s fairytale retellings. They just make me happy. So I’m looking forward to reading this one. (Thanks to Thomas Nelson through BookLook Bloggers for the review copy!)
• The Beast of Talesend by Kyle Robert Schultz — I just devoured this in a sitting and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Short version: just read this, peoples. (I will write a review at some point… *has many reviews to write and unfortunately not a lot of time for it lately*)

Ebooks

And the ebooks which I hope to read, which don’t stack nicely on a nightstand, but are absolutely lovely-looking books all the same…

• Halayda by Sarah Delena White — This is the May book for the Fellowship of Fantasy bookclub, and I am SUPER EXCITED FOR IT. Because faeries and things. About a third of the way through and enjoying it thus far. 😀
• Where the Woods Grow Wild by Nate Philbrick — Super excited to read this fantasy novel — it sounds right up my alley! (Also for review; thanks to the author for my review copy! Check out his blog — it’s absolutely hilarious. :D)
• Spellsmith and Carver: Magician’s Rival by H.L. Burke — This is for review and just released and I’m quite excited because it’s a buddy story with magic and scary Fae things and I’m all for this. (Thanks to the author for my review copy!)

Not Pictured

• I’d also like to keep working through my backlog of beta-reads, so I’d like to get one of those done.
• I’m listening to an unabridged yet fully-dramatized audio recording of The Tempest by William* Shakespeare, as well, which has been interesting thus far!

*(In other news, sometimes I wonder if I should bother saying “William”. Like, is there any other Shakespeare? I mean, come on, really. Maybe I should say “Bob Shakespeare” sometime and see if anyone notices…)

If I have time, I also would not say no to re-reading Yorien’s Hand by Jenelle Schmidt, to refresh my memory before the final book releases… but we’ll see; could be pushed to my June list. In fact, seeing that we’re OVER HALFWAY THROUGH MAY (WHAT??? HOW DID THIS HAPPEN. SOMEBODY HELP), many of these might carry over to a June stack.

Not sure how many of these I’ll get around to this month, but they’re what I’m working on for now. 🙂 (And I did do remarkably well on last month’s stack, reading all of those listed, so that makes me happy.)

Yes, a lot of these are for review. Something about review-books seems to be that they come all at once. XD But, y’know, having way too many awesome books to read is obviously a good problem to have, yes? *cough*

So much awesome fantasy going on! Very excited about all of these books! 🙂

I haven’t read this yet, but I’m so excited to do so soonish! It’s a retelling of Beauty and the Beast/detective-like novel in an alternate 1920s England (I believe), with an alternate history where fairytales were real and part of history. I AM ALL OVER THIS IDEA. (Plus the author is a super cool blogger, and knowing he’s Christian and generally awesome means I know his books are going to be good clean fun, which is exciting. :D) Also, everybody should go follow his twitter (and blog) because he’s hilarious. It looks like the book is going to be just as hilarious… I can’t wait. 😀

This retelling of Sense and Sensibility by an lovely author friend of mine, released today! I beta-read it and loved it. 😀 It’s currently at a discount price for a couple of days! (Details here.) Paperback coming soon too. 🙂 I hope to have a review for it up sometime soonish… *has many reviews to write*

Second Impressions: A Collection of Fiction Inspired by Jane Austen

The short story collection in the Vintage Jane Austen series, edited by my dear friend Hannah Scheele (and featuring some other authors I know), is now available! I haven’t read it yet but it looks like these are going to be some fun stories. 😀 (Note: these stories were part of a contest, and are not set during the ’30s like the other books in the VJA series, but rather in a wide range of settings, which look quite neat!) There’s a really fun “meet the authors” sneak-peek at the stories in the collection, here.

Bellevere House by Sarah Scheele (coming in June)

I beta-read an early version of this and loved it — super fun! So excited for this re-imagining of Mansfield Park, by another good writer friend of mine, to release — I can’t wait to read the final version! 🙂 (You may remember my mixed review of Mansfield Park… This new version solves some of the problems I had with the original, so… ;))

Top Ten(ish…okay 24) Books Releasing 2017!

Today’s Top Ten Tuesday (hosted by The Broke and the Bookish) is “Top Ten 2017 Debuts I’m Excited For” which I, in my rebel state, am tweaking to any and all 2017 releases (not just debuts) and am also expanding on the number… (Okay, so it’s 24. I never said I was good with maths.)

Because I’m obsessed thoughtful, I compiled a list of books that are coming out in 2017, or that I think (or hope) or have seen rumored that are coming out that I’m interested in reading.

• The Bear and the Nightingale – Katherine Arden (Jan 10): Random Russian (I think?) folklore retelling-ish book I ran across on Goodreads and thought was interesting.
  
• Heartstone – Elle Katharine White (Jan 17): High Fantasy Pride and Prejudice retelling with Dragons. I AM SOLD POINT ME IN ITS DIRECTION.
• King’s Blood (Kinsman Chronicles #2) – Jill Williamson (Jan 31): Sequel to King’s Folly, fantasy novel by Jill Williamson = gimme.
  
• The Lost Girl of Astor Street – Stephanie Morrill (Feb 7): Curious about this historical fiction mystery from one of the authors of the Go Teen Writers blog.
  
• A Viscount’s Proposal (Regency Spies of London #2) – Melanie Dickerson (Feb 7): Long-awaited regency romance sequel to A Spy’s Devotion, about the sister of the hero from the first book — very excited!
  
• Gilded Cage – Vic James (Feb 14): Random historical fantasy book I ran across on Goodreads (I’m so shallow and random, I know) that sounded interesting.
  
• Shadow Run – AdriAnne Strickland (Mar 21): Random sci-fi book I ran across on Goodreads and thought sounded interesting because it sounded kinda like Firefly just because.
  
• Beren and Luthien – J.R.R. Tolkien (May 4): I know, a lot of people are tired of these rehashed “books” by Tolkien. But I’m personally pretty excited because although I’ve read much of his various Beren and Luthien drafts, I think it will be cool to see the different versions altogether. Plus, illustrated = win. ALSO: shoutout because it’s Tolkien’s birthday today! Happy birthday!
  
• The Noble Servant (Thornbeck Forest #3) – Melanie Dickerson (May 9): Final book in the trilogy after The Huntress of Thornbeck Forest and The Beautiful Pretender, this historical fiction, Christian romance fairytale retelling of The Goose Girl/The Prince and the Pauper has me pretty excited to read it. It’s about Magdalen from The Beautiful Pretender and I can’t wait.

• The Bone Queen – Alison Croggon (2017 USA release): This fantasy prequel to The Naming, about Cadvan (gimme!), already released in Australia LAST year and I want it now please and thank you.
  
• Exiles (Ilyon Chronicles #4) – Jaye L. Knight: I know, I haven’t gotten this far in this Christian Fantasy series yet. Still, it wanted to be in this post. *shrug*
  
• The Reluctant Godfather – Allison Tebo: Retelling of Cinderella with “a young and cantankerous fairy godfather” — sounds amusing and delightful.
• Untitled (Penderwicks #5) – Jeanne Birdsall: This one’s been listed for 2017 for aaages, so we’ll see if it happens. I NEED ANOTHER PENDERWICK BOOK. Even though I’m terrified too because the kids are like grown up and it’s the last book and eek.
  
• Untitled (Jackaby #4) – William Ritter: Curious about the last Jackaby book, since Ghostly Echoes cliffhangered… Maybe there will be some answers about Jackaby, and he’ll hopefully continue with his awesome banter in another intriguing historical fantasy mystery?
  
• Untitled (Stolen Crowns #1) – Jessica Day George: I’ve been looking forward to this one since… ages ago. Fantasy “sequel” of sorts, following up various fairytales, about their children… I think. Anyway, fairytales by Jessica Day George and I want ’em.

• Songkeeper Chronicles #3 – Gillian Bronte Adams: Fantasy, final book in the trilogy, after Ophan’s Song and Songkeeper — I’m soooo looking forward to seeing how this series wraps up!!!
• Minstrel’s Call (The Minstrel’s Song #4) – Jenelle Leanne Schmidt: Final book in this awesome fantasy series (King’s Warrior, Second Son, and Yorien’s Hand) — can’t wait! Dragons and epic fantasy, preciousss.
  
• Modern Tales of Na Fianna #3 – Hazel B. West: Be still my beating heart. There’s going to be another book after Blood Ties and An Earthly King. CALENDAR, BE KIND TO ME AND MOVE THE YEAR QUICKLY TO THIS DATE, WHENEVER IT MAY BE.
  
• A Different Kind of Purpose (A Different Kind of Courage #2) – Sarah Holman: Another Revolutionary War book, I’m really looking forward to this sequel to A Different Kind of Courage to see William get into (and hopefully out of) his next noodle.
  
• Suit and Suitability – Kelsey Bryant: 1930s retelling of Sense and Sensibility, by a lovely author I know, I’m very much looking forward to this one! I just know it’s going to be lovely.
  
• Emmeline – Sarah Holman: Also a 1930s retelling, of Jane Austen’s Emma, I was privileged to beta-read this last year and ADORED it, so I’m very excited for it to release! (Along with the rest of this Vintage Jane Austen 1930s retellings series by various authors. Methinks they’ll be fun. ^_^)

• Silver Rose – Shantelle Mary Hannu: Don’t know if this Christian Fantasy novel will see publication this year, but if it does I’M GOING TO BE ONE EXCITED FANGIRL. This book is one of my favorites and I can’t wait to see it in print! *flailing*
• The Last Motley – DJ Edwardson: Again, not sure if it’ll be this year or not, but I’m quite excited for DJ’s hopefully-upcoming fantasy novel! I just know it’s going to be amazing. *flails because fantasy*
• Lightporter (IDIA #2) – C.B. Cook: I honestly have no clue if this contemporary superhero tale (sequel to Twinepathy) is in the forecast for this year. But I hope it will be. Because Blaze and Anvil and company are awesome and I’m selfish and want to read about  them ASAP they NEED this sequel because they need more screen page time.

Now all I need is more time/resources to acquire and read these books. XD (Not to mention more bookshelf space. Seriously.) #bookwormproblems
